What if... partnerships cubed?

What if every school had at least one partnership with a higher ed institution and at least one partnership with a corporate or non-profit organization?

*Prompted by a meeting I recently had with leaders from a national education equity organization that facilitates collaborations among charter, public, and independent schools (incidentally, it is hard to overstate how rare such collaboration is). They said that a major school district will soon announce that every one of its magnet and comprehensive high schools will:

  1. Articulate a learning theme (e.g., school for allied health, for STEM, for Design, etc.)

  2. Use that theme as the basis for a partnership with at least one college or university.

  3. Use that theme as the basis for a partnership with at least one corporation or non-profit.

Looks like private-private and public-private partnerships may be moving to the right on the Hype Cycle.

Each Wednesday we share a "what if" scenario. These are not suggestions as much as provocations.

If you have a "what if" scenario you would like to share, just send an email (and indicate whether you would like it attributed it to you).
