What if... failure option syndrome?
What if we converted “failure avoidance syndrome” into “failure option syndrome”?
What if we agreed that failure was not only tolerable, but in some ways desirable as a litmus test for how hard we are trying to grow?
For example, students thrive in an Expedition because they build-test-learn their way to better and better answers. They don’t worry about getting a wrong answer. They worry about not getting enough wrong answers—because they need to learn to navigate that ignorance on their way to mastering their problem-solution set. That’s the only way they will have the confidence to share their work with a CEO panel in a public setting.
Accepting “failure avoidance syndrome” is like playing not to lose.
Choosing “failure option syndrome” is like playing to win.

Each Wednesday we share a “what if” scenario. Consider it a provocation rather than a suggestion.
