Christian Talbot

Founder & Principal

Christian founded Basecamp after serving as Head of School at Malvern Prep (PA). Previously he was an administrator and teacher at Regis High School (NY), REACH (NY), Chaminade High School (NY), and Banneker High School (DC). He has shared his experiences in change strategy, strategic planning and design, and social entrepreneurship at national and regional conferences such as NAIS, CASE-NAIS, ADVIS, and Traverse. He leads Basecamp consulting projects and Expeditions, and authors the Basecamp blog, Ed:Future. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Regis High School (NY) and Fordham Preparatory School (NY). He has served as a mentor at UPenn's Educational Entrepreneurship Program and is currently a lecturer in UPenn's School of Social Policy & Practice.

Viktor has two decades of experience in strategy and design in service of both the Fortune 500 and non-profit sectors. He has been a strategy designer at SY Partners, 100 Years, and other industry-leading consultancies.

 

Rosalie Reyes

Design Partner

Rosalie is the Coordinator of Teacher Engagement and Professional Development for Teaching for Change, Zinn Education Project. She received her M.S.Ed. in education entrepreneurship from U. Penn's Graduate School of Education and Wharton School of Business. Previously Rosalie served as a museum educator at the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center. She has also been a curriculum designer and a movement and mindfulness instructor for children with special needs. Focusing her research and practice of anti-bias education with support from the Early Childhood Education Initiative at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Rosalie is passionate about educational equity and exploring race and representation in children’s literature.

Marielys Garcia

Design Partner

Marielys has been an educator and community leader for the last 13 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University. As a regular Expeditionaries co-facilitator, Marielys takes the lead on building community culture. She also helps Expeditionaries teams to practice effective norms under extreme time constraints and significant uncertainty.

Clyde Cole

Design Partner

For almost three decades Clyde has been a teacher, administrator, and Assistant Superintendent in public and private schools in New York City, New Haven, and Syracuse. He has founded three schools, trained cohorts of future principals, and led instructional leadership in multiple settings. Most recently he became the the Co-Founder and President of the Partnership for Boys. At Expeditionaries, Clyde takes the lead on challenging teams with difficult questions to prepare them for their CEO panel pitches.

Carissa Casey

Design Partner

Carissa is an educator dedicated to student-centered learning experiences that promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Lafayette College, M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and is currently pursuing her EdD in Educational Leadership from Drexel University. Currently, she works at SpeakUp! to train students, parenting adults, and educators to have courageous conversations around topics that youth say are tough to talk about. As a trained SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity) Leader, Carissa continuously facilitates professional development experiences that examine and challenge the systems of oppression, dominance, and privilege through the exploration of stories. She is excited to be part of the Expeditionaries team where students bring change to society by challenging the status quo!
