Founder & Principal
Christian founded Basecamp after completing five years as Head of School at Malvern Prep (PA), preceded by fourteen years as an English teacher at Regis High School (NY). He has shared his experiences in change management, strategic planning, and social entrepreneurship at conferences such as NAIS, CASE-NAIS, TABS-NAIS, Tempus, and Traverse. From 2009 through 2017 he blogged on education at Teaching Excellence. Now he writes for the Basecamp blog, Ed:Future.He serves on the Board of Trustees at Regis High School (NY) and Fordham Preparatory School (NY). He also serves as a mentor at the University of Pennsylvania's Educational Entrepreneurship Program.
Rosalie is the Coordinator of Teacher Engagement and Professional Development for Teaching for Change, Zinn Education Project. She received her M.S.Ed. in education entrepreneurship from U. Penn's Graduate School of Education and Wharton School of Business. Previously Rosalie served as a museum educator at the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center. She has also been a curriculum designer and a movement and mindfulness instructor for children with special needs. Focusing her research and practice of anti-bias education with support from the Early Childhood Education Initiative at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Rosalie is passionate about educational equity and exploring race and representation in children’s literature.
Viktor is currently a senior strategy designer at SY Partners. Previously he was a senior advisor to A Hundred Years. He is the founder of FutureSculpt, a Virtual Reality design consultancy, and No Right Brain Left Behind, an education design consultancy. Viktor and Christian co-designed Signals, an exploration of the future of leadership + learning.
Lucien is a designer with a background in graphic design, user interface, and other design disciplines. When opportunities arise, he brings these perspectives to Basecamp relationships. You can see his portfolio at lucien.design.
Nikita leads the Product team at Trello, a collaboration software company. Prior to Trello, Nikita was a Principal Product Manager at Knewton, an adaptive learning company, and Product Lead at EF Education First in Shanghai and London. She has contributed insights and wisdom from the beginning of Basecamp's inception.
