What if we agreed to audit all of the assessments—formative and summative—that take place in our organization?

And then recalibrate them according to what we say we value?

Would we be willing to let go of some of the assessments we have grown used to?

Would we be willing to shape new assessments?

Are we willing to admit that what we assess reveals what we truly value?

And, by way of omission, what we don’t value?
